The corruption of Baseball

Thesis: Strict codes of conduct must be forced at all little league baseball games to prevent inappropriate actions by parents or coaches.

In today's society, new rules are constantly evolving. These rules are not the result of an increasingly oppressive culture, but rather, a more open and relaxed one. Although this may seem good, it is not always a virtuous thing. With this new age comes declining morals and family values. With every unspoken law that is broken, there must be a new written law to define the crime. In the past, this was never necessary because people didn't step over these unseen lines very much, but now, new laws are constantly being made to keep in step with these new insurrections.

One example that has become very prevalent in today's society is that of irate parents at baseball games. At any little league park, one can see and hear these screaming, obnoxious parents and relatives from a mile away. These people are often yelling at the coaches, the umpire, or their own children for the most insignificant shortcomings. Often, they will scream obscenities and make belittling remarks in front of small children that were just there to see their big brother play. This is absolutely uncalled for. Something needs to be done about these rude people, something that will work.
The only just solution to this growing problem is a list of rules posted in front of the ballpark. This would be a comprehensive list of all the rules that must be followed at all times. There would be no yelling at the coaches or the umpire during the baseball game. The parent may cheer for his/her son, but may not make belittling comments about their, or other's performance. No objects will be allowed to be thrown at, or around the players or coaches at any time, and the parents may not make rude comments out loud at any time. These rules must be strictly enforced to prevent the corruption of our youth and the spreading of this virulent behavior. The penalty would be one warning, followed by the parent being expelled from the field for the duration of the game. Repeat offenders would be expelled for a number of games.
This solution would work because parents would be given a fair warning before the game not to act up. They would also see the rules in print, specifying the illegality of their actions. If parents see this in writing, it will make the rules seem final and unchanging. Before, there was never any exact rules for conduct at the baseball fields, so parents acted as they saw fit; now, the choice is not up to them, and they will have no excuse for misconduct. Also, if the rules are strictly enforced, it will send a message to all, that this conduct will never be tolerated.
In conclusion, the problem of obscenity at baseball games can be solved. No longer will parents be allowed to scream curse words and yell at the umpires, coaches, or players. Because of this new strict code of conduct, our world will be a better place.
